  2.     SHUTDOWN/REBOOT
  3.  
  4.     You can use this program to either shutdown or reboot all hosts in
  5.     the current pool. When you use this option, the following window
  6.     appears:
  7.  
  8.     This window has the following fields:
  9.  
  10.     Hostnames
  11.  
  12.     Use this field if you want to perform the shutdown/reboot operation
  13.     only on a subset of the currently managed hosts. You can also click
  14.     on the arrow button to the right to bring up a pick list of all
  15.     currently managed hosts and make your selections from there. Leave a
  16.     blank space between each host name if you are specifying multiple
  17.     entries.

  19.     If you leave this field blank, all hosts in the current pool will be
  20.     shutdown/reboot.
  21.  
  22.     Delay Time
  23.  
  24.     You can use this field to specify a delay before the shutdown/reboot
  25.     occurs. The delay time should give users enough time to prepare for
  26.     the system shutdown/reboot.The default is 60 seconds.

  28.     This field will accept both relative and absolute time formats. See
  29.     "TIME FORMATS" on page C-1 for more details.

  31.     Countdown
  32.  
  33.     Use this toggle to choose whether a countdown should occur prior to
  34.     starting the shutdown or reboot. A countdown will display warning
  35.     messages at regular intervals to the terminals of all hosts being
  36.     taken down or rebooted. The default is Yes.
  37.  
  38.     Banner mode
  39.  
  40.     Use this toggle to choose whether the (user-definable) broadcast
  41.     message should be displayed in extremely large text. This message
  42.     should be relatively brief. The default is Yes.

  44.     Reconfigure
  45.  
  46.     Use this toggle to choose whether the hosts should be reconfigured
  47.     when they are rebooted. The default is Yes.
  48.  
  49.     Shutdown Options
  50.  
  51.     Use this toggle to choose whether the hosts should be put in an
  52.     initialized state of a single-user mode when they are shutdown. The
  53.     default is Off. This choice only matters if you then use the
  54.     Shutdown button.

  56.     Note: Some systems, like Solaris 2.x will cut power to the CPU
  57.     during a shutdown.

  59.     Broadcast Message
  60.  
  61.     You can use this text field to type in the message to be broadcast
  62.     to all hosts prior to shutdown. Otherwise, the default message
  63.     "System Going Down in n Minutes" will be used.

  65.     Buttons
  66.  
  67.     This window has the following buttons:

  69.     Shutdown
  70.  
  71.     Click on this button to selectively begin to shutdown the host
  72.     specified in the Hostnames field. If you leave he Hostnames field
  73.     blank, all hosts in the current pool will be shutdown.

  75.     Reboot
  76.  
  77.     Click on this button to selectively begin to reboot the host
  78.     specified in the Hostnames field. If you leave he Hostnames field
  79.     blank, all hosts in the current pool will be shutdown.

  81.     Status

  83.     Click on this button to display the status of all pending shutdowns
  84.     and/or reboots. The following window will appear:

  87.     Abort
  88.  
  89.     Click on this button to abort all pending shutdowns and/or reboots
  90.     immediately. You will be prompted for confirmation of this action.
  91.     Enlighten will then abort all pending shutdowns and/or reboots on
  92.     hosts in the current pool.

  94.     Cancel
  95.  
  96.     Click on this button to close the window without making any changes.
